WECAN Youth Development Programs

 

"Time Out" After-School Program

"Time Out" is a multicultural program designed to appeal to the Greater Woodlawn community youth.  The primary focus is to connect urban youth aged 9-18 to homework assistance, tutoring, health and fitness, and educational activities.  This program has two phases:

 

Phase 1 -  Middle school students; 5th - 8th grade. 

Phase 2 - High school students (9th-12th) 

 

Each student is required to complete a literacy and assessment test. All participants will have access to computers, tutor/mentor, and all educational resources.

Weekly field trips

 

Starting one week after Labor Day; Monday-Friday 9am-5pm

In order to enroll your child they must be school aged 6-13
